Dunolly Cottage offers self-catering accommodation in a really exceptional setting. The cottage, which is grade C listed, was originally built in the late 19th century, converted to a cottage in the 1930’s and completely gutted and modernised during the period 2015/16. The cottage sleeps 6 with one of the bedrooms being downstairs with step free, accessible space for one couple.
The cottage boasts a total of 3 bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. The living accommodation comprises a large and comfortable lounge and a large kitchen/diner to the rear with the most amazing view over the River Tay, unrivalled anywhere in Aberfeldy. The kitchen provides all you would expect in the way of modern convenience, from a dishwasher, to a dual-fuel range cooker, microwave, toaster and so on. Besides the main accommodation, there is a fully equipped utility area under the stairs and spacious hall and landing. Dogs are very welcome (max 2) and we provide a doggy welcome box.
Outside of the cottage there is plenty of parking space, a lawn area, patio areas to the rear and side and, finally, secure storage for the likes of kayaks, golf-clubs, bicycles, mountain climbing gear, fishing tackle and so on. There are lots of lovely walks from the door and the main square and shops are just a 5-10 minute walk.

Dunolly Cottage is located on the edge of the town and so has wonderful open views of the river and Perthshire countryside to the north and west, but at the same time, all the facilities of Aberfeldy are in easy walking distance – from the golf-club (a new clubhouse is currently being built) and Black Watch pub at about five minutes, to Chillies Indian restaurant and the Co-op supermarket at about 15 minutes. Just about everything else lies between these modest extremes. And a lot is packed in including a community owned cinema, a world famous bookshop, an award winning bakery, excellent butchers and a number of small independent and artisan shops.
There are attractions such as Dewars Aberfeldy Distillery which has recently a brand new, state of the art visitor experience. There are also activities providers such as Beyond Adventure who give our guests a great discount and offer things such as canoeing, SUP, E-Bike hire and lots more. We have made arrangements for our guests to get various discounts with local partners such as Dewars Aberfeldy Distillery, Beyond Adventure, Highland Safaris and Errichel Farm – Details are provided in your balance receipt email from us.
Just 6 miles to the west, you will find the charming conservation village of Kenmore, on the eastern edge of Loch Tay. Here you will find a wide variety of water sports and activities as well as a popular beach area which is great for paddling and wild swimming.
