At Penfold Properties, we understand that your dog is a cherished member of your family, and we are passionate about ensuring they enjoy the holiday as much as you do. We are a family business, run by myself, Angela, my daughter-in-law, Jenni and my sister-in-law Jenny. We each have dogs and our extended family all have dogs too. Between us, the Penfold family have 8 dogs, ranging from a wee Cavachon called Teddy to the very handsome and rather large Golden Retriever, Max. In between we have various Spaniels and French Bulldogs, and you can imagine how crazy our family get togethers and holidays are!!
So, we get it! We know how important it is for our dogs to be happy and relaxed on holiday. We understand that for some, a secure garden is essential (Teddy is quite the escape artist). We also know that in the chaos of packing and trying to get the gang ready to head off on holiday, it is easy to forget something, like a dog lead or food bowl. But most of all, we know that if our dogs aren’t happy then we cannot relax and enjoy our holiday either.
"My family, which included six adults and two dogs, had a fantastic holiday weekend at Glenview. The lodge is modern, very comfortable and beautifully decorated with everything you could possibly want.
The views from the balcony are stunning. I could have happily sat there all day, it is so quiet and peaceful. Our two dogs loved sitting out there. In the evening, lighting the log burner made the room so cosy.
The lodge is only a short walk away from Aberfeldy although the hill up to the lodge is quite steep. During our stay we visited the Red deer experience at Highland safaris which l would recommend. We can’t wait to go back again for another long weekend"

To help you choose the right holiday home, we have designed our very own Dog Friendly grading scheme.
1 Paw: A dog welcome box that includes: Treats, toys, food and water bowl, lead, poo bags, and towel. Dog ID tags with our contact number and the property name. Local information about dog friendly businesses, walks, vet services, pet supply
shops etc.
2 Paws: As well as the welcome box, you will find a dog bed and throws to ensure your dog has a cosy and comfortable place to relax.
3 Paws: All of the above plus a secure garden or area within the garden of your holiday home, where your dog can play freely.
4 Paws : Will have everything above plus extras like, crate, outside tap and hose for washing down muddy dogs.

Aberfeldy and the surrounding area is particularly dog friendly and you will find lots of options for cafes, bars and restaurants that will welcome your fur baby. The Aberfeldy Watermill café has recently become dog friendly, thanks to their manager, Jonathan Penfold (yes, my son! – it’s a family thing!)
